Your Business and Team
CBA is shifting from traditional training delivery to enterprise skilling.
That means building the priority skills our people need to perform in their roles today and adapt as work changes. The Learning & Skilling Domain supports this shift by helping the business build capability at scale, using strong facilitation, practical skill application, reusable patterns, digital tools and AI-enabled ways of working.
This role reports to the Senior Facilitation Lead and plays a key part in lifting the quality, consistency and impact of facilitation across enterprise skilling priorities.
Your Role
As Senior Facilitator, Enterprise Skilling, you will help people build and apply skills in the work, not just participate in sessions.
You will facilitate high-impact experiences for leaders, teams and specialist audiences across CBA. You will work with Learning Partners, Product Owners, business leaders and subject matter experts to understand the performance need, shape the right approach and support capability transfer back into the workplace.
You will bring strong facilitation craft, business judgement and confidence working with ambiguity. You will also help improve how facilitation is done across the Learning & Skilling Domain by using reusable methods, data, feedback and AI-enabled tools.
Success in this role is measured by what changes after the session: what people do differently, how skills are applied, and how the work improves.
Your Responsibilities
You will:
- Facilitate enterprise skilling experiences that build practical skills and support better performance in the work.
- Prepare using business context, audience insight, performance data and stakeholder input.
- Translate complex priorities into clear, practical activities that help people practise and apply new behaviours.
- Adapt facilitation in the moment, including handling challenge, resistance and ambiguity.
- Use reusable facilitation methods and tools to improve consistency, quality and scale.
- Use digital and AI-enabled tools to support preparation, practice, feedback, insight and follow-up.
- Work with Learning Partners, Product Owners and leaders to connect facilitation to agreed outcomes.
- Use feedback, observation and data to improve the experience and understand impact.
- Coach other facilitators and contribute to shared standards, patterns and practices.
Your Experience
You will bring:
- 5+ years’ facilitation experience in a large, complex organisation.
- Strong facilitation capability across in-person, virtual and hybrid environments.
- Experience supporting behaviour change, skill application or performance improvement.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders, leaders and specialist audiences.
- Ability to challenge unclear briefs and clarify the real performance need.
- Strong business translation skills: turning strategy, change or technical content into practical application.
- Confidence using data, feedback and insight to improve facilitation quality.
- Practical experience using digital tools and AI to improve how work gets done.
- Ability to coach others and lift facilitation quality across a team or community.
What will make you successful
You will do well in this role if you:
- Care more about what changes in the work than how polished the session felt.
- Can hold a room with credibility, structure and purpose.
- Know when to follow a pattern and when to adapt.
- Can challenge stakeholders without creating friction.
- Use AI and digital tools as part of normal work, not as an add-on.
- Help others lift their craft, not just perform strongly yourself.
