SUMMARY Manages customer shipment orders against the finished good production schedule and available inventory. Uses the system MRP and shipment forecast tools to manage execution of filling orders. • Work with finance on validation of invoicing inventory allocated to shipment orders once shipments are released from the facility, as needed • Participates in the daily scheduling meeting to understand schedule changes to production and the impact to meeting customer shipment attainment. • Coordinates with freight companies and dispatch to make outbound appointments base on location shipment capacity and shipping hours. • Closely monitors dock availability, working with OB planner to ensure finished goods are delivered in accordance to shipment order date. • Communicates any issues and escalates date conflict with necessary business partners. • Runs inventory status reports to monitor finished good inventory availability. • Manages and communicates poor carrier performance and provides scorecard to the business partners as needed. • Monitors inventory to ensure we execute shipments based on the days of supply agreed to with our customers. QUALIFICATIONS • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE • One or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university is preferred, not required. • Knowledge of distribution or manufacturing is beneficial. • Proficient with Excel and the total MS Suite. • Have a sense of urgency with work and the ability to prioritize work. • Adaptability to change. • Collaboration and team approach is a must have. • Experience with SAP and working in customer portals is a plus. • Customer service experience will be helpful in this position. LANGUAGE SKILLS • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
