Purpose/Overview:
This
position will support all aspects of property control.
Including reporting and monitoring of
Government assets associated with the Extravehicular Activity Space Operations
Contract (ESOC).
This includes the
effective administration of all contractual requirements supporting the
Property management functions associated with acquisition, receiving,
identification, records, storage, physical inventories, reports, consumption,
utilization, maintenance, disposition, and property close out.
This position will build and maintain a
high-trust relationship with all associated customers (contract and NASA).
The candidate will work to resolve problems
on a daily basis related to managing all accountable government property.
Requirements/
Responsibilities
-
Responsible
for maintaining and ensuring contractual compliance of the established
Property plans, procedures, and policies.
Includes developing, implementing, monitoring, and revising
procedures and policies to ensure compliance and incorporate efficiency.

Responsible for the
administrative control, records, and management of all accountable government
and customer property.
-
Serve as a Subject
Matter Expert for all internal and external audits (conducted by NASA,
Prime Contractor, DCMA, as well as other internal and external auditors).

Conducting and
facilitating internal property audits and self-assessments at all
associated work sites.

Preparing
and submitting property reports (CHATS, 1018, etc.)
-
Responsible for the
management and maintenance of the property record databases, creation of
special purpose / ad-hoc reports utilizing proficient computer skills.

Performance of
property control efforts including investigation of loss, damage, or
destruction of government property.
-
Performing and
facilitating team effort to perform physical inventories per the
established inventory cycle plan.

Development and
submittal of shipping and transferring documentation such as DD1149’s,
DD1428, DD250, etc.

Excellent written
and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal
and external customers.

Carry
out related assignments as required by the EVA Operations Contract.
Requirements
Experience
/ Qualifications
Bachelor’s
degree (preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related
field) 2 year’s related experience; or Associates degree and 5 years of related
experience in property management, auditing or financial disciplines.
Preferred
Requirements:

Experience
preferably in the administration of NASA and DOD contract environment.

Certification as a
Certified Professional Property Specialist (CPPS) or higher, attained
through the National Property Management Association (NPMA).

Very Strong
competency and understanding in the following applications: Microsoft
Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Thorough knowledge
of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Parts 45 and 52 and the NASA FAR
Supplement (NFARS) 1852.

create effective and concise written documents.
