About the role
This position own end-to-end logistics operations, covering China mainland in-market warehouse management and distributions to end customers, customs operations of finished goods in China mainland and leg B logistics operations for GC. This role integrates logistics planning, execution, cost control, service performance, process optimization and digitalization transformation to improve overall logistics efficiency and customer delivery experience.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Logistics Operation Management
- Manage market warehouse operations: In charge of warehouse receiving and issue, stock storage management, stock counting, First-In-First-Out control and warehouse SOP implementation.
- Lead outbound & customer distribution: Plan daily delivery routes, manage 3PL carriers, supervise order picking, packing, dispatch and last-mile distribution to end customers; ensure on-time delivery, order integrity and customer satisfaction.
- In charge of customs operations for imported finished goods with customs compliance.
- Oversee inbound logistics for GC: process management and governance of leg B logistics 3PL&4PL management control tower and drive end-to-end visibility and support issue resolution of leg B logistics.
- Establish and enforce logistics operational compliance policies, procedures and internal control standards, ensure all warehouse, transportation, customs clearance and logistics activities comply with local regulatory requirements, company policies and industry logistics norms.
- Risks and exception management: handle logistics exceptions timely to minimize business impact. Identify potential logistics risks proactively and set up contingency plans.
Logistics strategy and quality, safety, service and cost continuous improvement
- Develop a strategy for end-to-end logistics, driving efficiencies and savings with strong fundamental.
- Control overall logistics costs including transportation, warehousing, 3PL service and packaging; continuously optimize cost structure and achieve annual cost saving targets.
- Conduct regular compliance, quality and safety audits with CAPA closure on-time and drive process optimization.
- Monitor logistics KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide thought leadership to the industry by serving as the Haleon representative and bring industry best practice into Haleon.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage and evaluate in-market warehouse service vendors and transportation carriers; conduct regular performance review, regular audits and support bidding process.
- Collaborate closely with end-to-end QSCP, sales, finance, and Tech teams to align demand, resolve logistics exceptions and support business growth.
- Demonstrate enterprise leadership skills on the Customer Service & Logistics team, including proactively contributing to the development and execution of the market supply chain strategy.
Logistics Digitalization & System Capability Building
- Lead the digitalization of end-to-end logistics: drive digitalization roadmap and implementation plan to drive efficiency improvement and support business growth.
- Re-engineer traditional manual logistics processes into digital, automated and standardized workflows; promote paperless warehouse operation, intelligent routing allocation and data-driven decision making.
- Train internal teams and vendors on digital logistics tools, solve system operation problems, and continuously upgrade digital logistics capabilities to match business expansion.
Team leadership & capability building
- Direct, develop and grow the Team resources by proving clear direction, establishing objectives, providing real time feedback on performance, and establishing development plans for the future operational leaders of the organization.
- Build a positive team culture, motivate team members and drive cross-functional collaboration to stabilize daily operation.
- Build team capability to align with business scale and future logistics development needs.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in end-to-end logistics management.
- 3+ years of experience in team management
- FMCG/CPG incl. food or Consumer Health/OTC experience.
- Deep understanding of warehouse management, domestic/international transportation, 3PL operation, distribution routing planning
- Knowledge of SAP is preferred along with a solid understanding of Excel, PowerPoint, PBI and relational database concepts are required.
- Previous experience with Logistics Software Solutions is an asset.
- Proven track record in logistics cost reduction, warehouse efficiency improvement and customer delivery performance enhancement
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ability to assimilate large quantities of data.
- Demonstrated ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments and prioritize shifting workloads.
- Excellent professional verbal, written communication in English.
- Strong, demonstrated networking skills.
