The Staff Systems Planning Engineer at Enterprise Products is responsible for performing advanced hydraulic modeling and analysis for liquid, gas, and supercritical fluid pipeline systems. Key responsibilities include:
Conduct system capacity evaluations, identify operational bottlenecks, and develop mitigation strategies to optimize throughput.
Model and assess “what‑if” operational scenarios, including equipment outages and system reconfigurations.
Analyze abnormal or upset operating conditions, including transient surge events, ensuring compliance with DOT‑PHMSA regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with Commercial, Capital Projects, Field Engineering, Operations and Concept Development teams to evaluate new project opportunities such as new supply connections, delivery points, system expansions, service changes, and greenfield developments.
Determine required control pressures for liquid pipelines by evaluating elevation profiles, pipe and equipment ratings, and transient surge analysis results.
Partner with Operations and Pipeline Control to develop pipeline configurations that support safe, reliable, and energy‑efficient system operation while meeting design constraints and contractual obligations.
