Job Description
As Team Lead Infrastructure & Cloud, you will lead the team responsible for all compute, storage, networking, and cloud services across Keenfinity's global footprint. You report to the Head of IT Platforms and are part of the IT Platforms leadership team.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You will drive the consolidation and modernization of a complex, multi-site infrastructure landscape. Keenfinity is a post-carve-out company operating in a cost-conscious environment with a changing business perimeter. You are equally comfortable making architecture decisions and rolling up your sleeves when the situation calls for it.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Cloud Operations
- Own the delivery of infrastructure services: data centers, virtualization, storage, backup and disaster recovery, networking, and DNS across multiple global locations.
- Drive infrastructure consolidation and rationalization across sites.
- Ensure infrastructure services meet availability, performance, and security requirements.
- Manage cloud workloads and contribute to the evolution of Keenfinity's hybrid infrastructure model.
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Make architecture decisions that balance cost, speed, and long-term sustainability, particularly in a cost-conscious ownership context where ROI discipline matters.
- Own infrastructure reference architectures and ensure consistency across sites and business units.
- Evaluate emerging technologies pragmatically. Adopt where there is clear business value, not for novelty.
Team Leadership
- Lead, develop, and grow a team of platform and infrastructure engineers.
- Foster a culture of ownership, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure the team maintains the right mix of skills to cover both day-to-day operations and project delivery.
Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage relationships with key infrastructure vendors and managed service providers.
- Drive contract renegotiation and vendor consolidation to support cost reduction targets.
- Govern SLAs and hold suppliers accountable for delivery quality.
Business Support
- Design infrastructure with clean separation in mind: modular, documented, and ready to support changes in the business portfolio.
- Support network and server separation activities to enable independent business operation when required.
- Work with other IT pillars to ensure infrastructure decisions align with broader business and governance requirements.
Qualifications
Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure and/or cloud engineering, with at least 3 years in a team lead or senior technical role.
- Proven experience with hybrid infrastructure environments (on-premises and cloud), including hands-on work with at least one major hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Solid background in virtualization platforms, networking, storage, and backup/disaster recovery.
- Experience in multi-site, international environments. Manufacturing or B2B product company experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with carve-out, stand-up, or post-M&A IT environments is highly valued.
Core Competencies
- Infrastructure architecture and consolidation planning.
- Vendor management and contract negotiation.
- ITIL foundations and service management awareness.
Personal Profile
- Technically credible leader who earns trust through competence, not just position.
- Pragmatic and delivery-focused, comfortable making decisions with incomplete information.
- Structured thinker who can prioritize across competing demands.
- Clear communicator who can translate infrastructure topics into business language for stakeholders.
- Comfortable in an evolving, fast-moving environment where priorities shift.
Languages: Excellent written and spoken English. German or Portuguese is a plus.
