- Provide credit decision/approval of credit propositions, credit review, temporary excesses and transaction exceptions within authorized lending authority limit.
- Collaborate closely with business units to identify and evaluate new opportunities. Participate in joint client engagements and site visits, offering strategic guidance on facility structuring and risk mitigation.
- Work closely with business units to timely identify issues/ early warning signs, ensure appropriate credit classification and initiate appropriate risk mitigating actions for deteriorating credits.
- Co-develop and continuously refine Target Market Definitions and Risk Acceptance Criteria in partnership with business and risk teams, ensuring relevance to evolving market conditions.
- Perform targeted portfolio scans or reviews in response to events/developments that may have an adverse impact on overall credit quality and to formulate action plans to minimize / manage risks identified.
- Lead or undertake adhoc tasks/ projects as may be required from time to time.
- A recognized Degree or equivalent, such as in Accounting/ Finance/ Commerce/ Economics/ Business
- Minimum 15 years of experience in credit assessment /approval in credit risk or front line covering commercial credits.
- Proven leadership experience in managing senior credit professionals and influencing across functions.
- Able to work under pressure with tight turnaround time.
- Agile in undertaking other credit-related matters apart from the typical credit assessment/approval tasks.
- Possess strong analytical, writing and interpersonal skills.
