Summary: Monitors, coordinates, and evaluates the care and appropriateness of hospitalization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collects information from the medical record for severity of illness and intensity of service by applying Milliman (MCG) criteria sets to properly determine NICU levels of care. Work collaboratively with payors by submitting clinical records timely for accurate reimbursement. Completion of assessments to determine needs of patient for post-acute services, resources, and initiates referrals for NICU infants. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team and parents to develop a safe discharge plan for the infant.
Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years' experience working in Level III/NICU or Perinatal related unit as a RN. Case Management experience preferred. Registered Nurse (RN). BSN required. Current CPR.
