Job Purpose or Objective(s): Under the supervision of the General Manager/Managing Partner, the Chili's Shift Leader plans, directs, and coordinates operations and non-management personnel for a single restaurant. In the absence of the General Manager/Managing Partner, the Chili's Shift Leader directs restaurant operations to ensure compliance with concept and health and safety standards and acceptable financial performance. You will report to the General Manager.
Primary Tasks:
- You will examine restaurant for conformance to concept and health standards.
- Walk through all restaurant areas to monitor and observe restaurant operations.
- Review documentation to assess the quality of the restaurant operations.
- Assist management with the training on non-management employees.
- Assign responsibilities to employees based upon work requirements.
- You will provide performance feedback to employees.
- Communicate with employees, customers, vendors, and concept personnel for multiple purposes.
- Exchange information about restaurant operation with General Manager.
- Discuss issues related to ordering food, beverages, and supplies from vendors.
- Interview job candidates.
- Rectify customer complaints.
- Exchange and gather information from employees and customers.
- Contact employee to modify employee work schedules.
- Create documents reporting information concerning the performance of the restaurant.
- You will maintain documentation in employee personnel file.
Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
Requirements:
- Stand/walk 100% of shift
- Operate POS, make change, and conduct credit card transactions, account for all the monies at the end of each shift
- Plate food and clear tables which may require lifting as much as 30lbs
- Verbalize and respond to Guests and Team Members
- Obtain an Oklahoma ABLE Liquor License
- Willing to work weekends and holidays
- 1+ years of experience in Full Service Casual Dining
- Prior management experience
