The Gallery Assistant will provide gallery and administrative support for the Director of the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum. A successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with exhibition installations, gallery sitting, opening and closing the gallery, and data entry.
- Works closely with the Museum Director on tasks related to exhibition programming and execution, and the CEAM Artist Residency
- Perform office and administrative functions
- Gallery sitting during open business hours
- Assistance with exhibition installation
- General gallery maintenance
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- General computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Telephone etiquette
- Good communication and organization skills
- Attention to detail
- Internet research abilities
- Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with the Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign
- Physical Demands
- General lifting and carrying ability
- Ability to climb stairs and walk to various campus and community locations as needed
