The Department of Education provides high quality early learning experiences and support for children and their families through a range of services and settings, including Launching into Learning, Libraries, Child and Family Learning Centres, Early Childhood Education and Care partners and Early Years Inclusion Support.
In line with its commitment to inspire and engage young leaders, the department supports access, participation and engagement of children and families with its Early Years services. These services aim to support children to develop as confident, involved learners and effective communicators.
About the Role
In partnership with local communities and services, Family Engagement Workers engage with children, their families and the community to support children’s access to and participation in quality early learning.
Work collaboratively with the community, parents/caregivers, local, federal and state government agencies and service providers to support the participation of children and their families in Early Learning and Family Support services. Deliver outreach activities and connect children and families not currently engaged with, or experiencing barriers to their participation in Early Learning services.
