Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Spotter/Local CDL A Truck Driver on 1st shift (4:00am to 12:00pm) at our Elkhart, IN manufacturing plant. This position will require effective communication with dock personnel, safe and timely movement of trailers to and from loading docks, and completion of local deliveries as needed. The starting hourly pay rate for this position is $32.67.
Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. The successful candidate will be expected to effectively communicate daily with security guards, Production Plant Management and personnel, and truck shop mechanics. Works in a normal traffic department environment with exposure to temperature changes and responsible for maintaining proper electronic logs and delivery documents. Major challenges involve the safe operation of the equipment and the ability to back trailers into defined confined areas.
