ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Training and Education): The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive, other duties may be assigned:
- Implement a market-leading training curriculum that addresses company training needs and excites and engages training participants.
- Assist in the initial training of new hires to create empowered, engaged, skilled clinicians who are part of the Eventus mission (Eventus values, workflow, clinical ethics, best practices, team relationships, etc.)
- Ensure the “magic” moment of first day orientation and onboarding wins the hearts and minds of new employees and establishes a positive impression that will stay with them for duration of their long Eventus WholeHealth career.
- · Follow assigned new clinicians through 30/60/90 days of training to ensure they are fully supported with all training needs.
- · Participate in the mentorship of new graduates both during and after their initial training process
- · Knowledge of and ability to train workflow for all prescribing specialties.
- · Collaborate with Clinical Leadership in development of new procedures and workflows.
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate training protocols and educational content for new and current clinicians aligned with organizational priorities and patient-care needs, or when opportunities are identified by Clinical Leaders. This includes creating original training materials and presenting this content-and other assigned educational content-to both small and large groups across Eventus WholeHealth.
- Provide training in person, in the field; extensive travel required
- Provide clinical service as part of training, introducing new facilities, or as assigned as part of the mission of the Learning and Intelligence Department in order to ensure that all needed patient care is delivered
- Conduct all training utilizing tools and techniques proven to effectively engage and educate adult learners.
- Perform other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Clinical): When providing clinical care as part of training or other related duties, the Clinical Training Specialist will adhere to Eventus WholeHealth site-specific protocols the standard of care for the specialty of family medicine, geriatric medicine, and/or internal medicine as it pertains to long term care facility work, as listed below:
Quality/Compliance
- Review and sign MAR’s as requested by facilities, sign all orders specific for Primary Care while at the facility and/or within 24 hours if transmitted to include phone orders, DME orders, Death Certificates, Plans of Care, PT/OT orders, hospice orders as appropriate, and other orders as is relevant and appropriate to the facility patient care needs and Eventus WholeHealth. Review and address labs within 24 hours of them being sent to you. Manage all narcotic prescriptions as per Eventus WholeHealth Narcotic Rx Policy. Provide facility with adequate time each visit to allow for paperwork administrative duties.
- Complete documentation and submit billing records to Eventus WholeHealth according to the published policies on charting and bill sheet submission and provide the facility with a hard copy of the electronic documentation within 48 hours of service for inclusion in the patient’s facility medical record.
- Establish and maintain open and positive communications with facility staff and administration. Provide verbal and/or written instruction or feedback regarding medications and other pertinent caregiver information. Meet with Administrator or designated facility care coordinator equivalent prior to the start of your patient care visits each day and prior to leaving facility each day.
- Be knowledgeable of and adhere to Eventus WholeHealth standards, policies, and procedures. Be aware of and adhere to all legal and regulatory agencies' rules and guidelines and professional ethical standards. Comply with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times including appropriate use of mobile devices, emails, text messaging, patient portals, and EMRs. Agree to abide by and be knowledgeable of HIPAA rules and regulations
- Consult with the clinical supervisor or manager before refusing a resident, family, or facility request or recommendation regarding the care of a resident.
EDUCATION AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
- Clinical Masters or Doctoral Degree
- National certification for area of specialty
- Unrestricted license in area of specialty within the state of practice
- Previous experience as a trainer, corporate training specialist, or position within a healthcare organization that would familiarize the candidate with the training requirements for success in a healthcare organization
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

- Possess excellent interpersonal and observational skills needed to assess trainees’ understanding and progress, and make any necessary adjustments to the training program to ensure complete comprehension.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge and expertise of all aspects of the training subject matter to include team collaboration and post-acute care facility dynamics
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Products
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records
- Experience in providing support to healthcare providers.
- Experience with technologies and best practices for instructional manuals and teaching platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for teaching adults
- Possess good analytical and planning skills.
- Demeanor that is engaging, encouraging and motivating.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of staff
- Knowledge of HIPAA privacy laws

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- To aid in the training of whole region, travel is expected and includes time in the field with providers, clinical care manager, clinical teams, and the leadership team. Overnight travel will be regularly required.
