ABOUT US
UPLIVE, a subsidiary of Amanotes, is on a mission of “Uplifting everyone’s life through games and apps.”
We’re redefining how digital experiences can create meaningful, positive impact in everyday life.
Our culture is built on Extreme Ownership, Relentless Learning — creating an environment where ambitious individuals are empowered to grow, innovate, and make real impact at scale.
Song List Optimization
Curate and optimize song lists across multiple games and markets — research music trends, form clear hypotheses for each song you add, and use performance data to keep the library fresh and converting.
Collaborate with the Product Owner to plan and promote songs via LiveOps events that drive engagement spikes and reinforce the live calendar.
Level Designer
Design level mechanics and charting for each song — translate musical structure into gameplay, and tune difficulty curves, drop points, and revive moments to maximize player engagement.
Drive playtesting and data-led iteration — run structured playtests, analyze level-design metrics (drop-off, revive rate, completion, satisfaction), and ship measurable improvements game-over-game.
Collaborate with artists to define the visual theme of each level/song — own the creative direction so audio, mechanics, and visuals feel like one coherent experience for the player.
Produce sound effects, and ensure all in-game audio meets quality and device-playback standards.
Music literacy applied to gameplay: strong grasp of music theory, genres, and song structure, with proven ability to break a song into beats, sections, and mechanic moments that map cleanly to gameplay.
Basic understanding of game design principles, rhythm game mechanics.
Music production proficiency in at least one DAW (FL Studio, Cubase, Ableton, REAPER) - able to cut, edit tracks for game integration. Basic MIDI signal output understanding.
Data fluency: independently reads level-design performance data (drop-off, revive rate, completion, retention), interprets correlations, and translates findings into concrete design changes.
Nice-to-have:
Portfolio of shipped rhythm/music games (App Store / Play Store links preferred).
Playing a musical instrument — gives you a faster instinct for charting and structure.
