Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Auxiliary Services, the Parking Enforcement Officer is responsible for supporting the University’s parking operations by enforcing parking regulations, assisting customers, and maintaining accurate records and data related to parking activity. This position serves as a primary point of contact for students, employees, and visitors seeking information about parking policies, permits, and general wayfinding. The Parking Enforcement Officer contributes to Regis University’s mission by promoting a safe, accessible, and welcoming campus environment for all members of our community.Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Parking Enforcement & Patrol
Patrols assigned parking areas and issues citations for vehicles in violation of university parking regulations, including motorized bicycles.
Collects and reports hourly occupancy data from the field.
Completes a daily log of activities, citations, and warnings issued; submits logs consistently at the end of each shift.
Identifies counterfeit permits and initiates necessary enforcement actions.
Customer Service & Communication
Communicates regularly with students, staff, faculty, and visitors regarding parking regulations, wayfinding, and general information.
Handles potentially stressful interactions with individuals who may be argumentative or frustrated.
Provides front-line customer service at the Parking Office, including greeting customers, assisting with driver application forms, processing parking refunds, issuing wayfinding assistance, and more.
Parking System Administration (T2 Flex)
Utilizes the T2 Parking Flex Management System to enter handwritten citations, process payments, generate reports, sell permits, maintain records, conduct investigations, ensure data quality, share information, and flag vehicles with outstanding citations.
Special Events & Departmental Support
Coordinates and supports special parking arrangements—both in the field and office—for major university events (e.g., Commencement, Future Ranger Day, Orientation, Blue and Gold Weekend, etc.).
Enforces event-specific parking restrictions.
Collaborates with Admissions to support the Prospective Student Parking Program, including data entry, permit assignments, customer communication, and general information sharing.
Enforcement Vehicle/Shuttle Support
Assists with fuel replenishment, basic maintenance, and cleaning of enforcement vehicles and shuttles.
Student Activities Vans Support
Serves as backup for scheduling, authorizing, and reserving Student Activities vans for campus departments through 25Live.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Valid Colorado drivers license. Ability to obtain and maintain university‑required driving clearance.
At least 6 months of customer service experience.
Previous experience working with 25Live, T2 Flex/FlexForward is preferred, but not required.
Ability to interact respectfully with diverse individuals and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
Working Conditions:
This position is required to work on-campus and involves regular outdoor activity in a variety of weather conditions throughout the year, including rain, snow, extreme cold, and high heat. The role requires frequent walking and standing on paved surfaces for extended periods, as well as sitting in a vehicle for portions of the shift. Duties may include lifting and carrying cones, barricades, signage, and other parking equipment.
The Parking Enforcement Officer may be exposed to vehicle fumes, dust, noise, and other environmental factors typical of outdoor and parking‑lot settings.
This position follows a scheduled on-campus shift, typically Monday through Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., with occasional weekend or evening work required to support campus events or operational needs. Remote or flexible work arrangements are not available for this role due to the field‑based nature of the work.
