About The Opportunity

Pay Band: $22.00 hourly

Essential Job Functions
The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist in the setup and general housekeeping of corrugate equipment
Setup and change product materials in accordance with the production plan
Continuously maintain or exceed production efficiency goals
Provide Quality Inspectors with product samples for inspection
Preparing and palletizing skids of finished product
Follow and practice all GMP’s, HACCP and SQF protocols
Work in accordance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
Other duties may be assigned accordingly
Ensures and supports to make sure Food safety, Quality, HACCP and GMP is always followed
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must have strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Quality Control Procedures.
Ability to work in an environment that is continuously changing and improving Attention to detail, quality and safety is a must
Must be able to work with a team of people across different functional areas as well as an individual
Ability to engage in routine walking, standing, bending and carry items weight up to 40 lbs plus for extended periods of time Valid Forklift license is considered to be an asset
Ability to read production plans (dockets or spec packs) to ensure each production run is being completed as required Effectively communicate with others in a way that builds team work and collaboration
Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Maintain and high level of trust and integrity WMS and Microsoft Office Suite knowledge is considered an asset Proficient use of the English language (Reading, Writing, Speaking)
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Previous experience in the packaging industry is considered an asset
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Primarily works in a factory and/or warehouse setting
Lifting up to 50lbs on a regular basis Standing, stooping (Kneeling), walking, and lifting on a daily basis Ability to stand for the entire shift
