Would you like to apply mathematical, modelling or data science skills in solving the next generation of transport modelling challenges in Singapore?[What you will be working on]
As a Transport Scientist for our Strategic Planning (SPL) team, you will help shape Singapore’s urban transport environment now and for future generations.
Be part of a core team of modellers, analysts and software engineers who are building the next generation of transport applications and models.
Work closely with various teams both within LTA and across Government Agencies and Academia.
Work with teams with cross-cutting domains (AI, data analytics, data engineering, software development and product management) to understand business requirements, data availability, build models, rollout services and track key metrics for the success of the project.
Work with various transport planners in LTA, URA, HDB and other Government Agencies.

This position is based in Singapore
[What we are looking for]
We are seeking a person who has deep skills in maths, modelling or data science and is interested to work on transport models and algorithms. Prior work in the transport domain is not required.
You have tertiary qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Social Sciences with an analytics or maths specialisation, or other related disciplines.
You have at least 2 years of experience in data science/ modelling/ analytics or related work. Those with strong analytical or modelling experience can be considered for senior positions
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
You are familiar with relational databases and have some hands-on experience coding in SQL and Python
You are proficient in one or more of the programming languages such as Python
You have some experience in the creation of mathematical / software models or algorithms development
The Nice-to-Haves
Experience in land use planning, transport planning and transport analytics or transport modelling techniques
Experience in processing big data and building data models at scale
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud
