This role is ideal for a licensed funeral director who wants to lead from the front by supporting families, developing staff, and stewarding a location with deep community trust.
What You’ll Do
Lead day to day operations of the funeral home, ensuring exceptional family care, regulatory compliance, and professional standards
Arrange and direct funeral and memorial services with empathy and professionalism
Hire, coach, and develop staff while fostering a culture of trust and accountability
Take ownership of financial performance, staffing, and overall results for the location
Serve as a visible leader in the Southwest Louisville community, honoring the legacy of the funeral home while supporting continued growth
What We’re Looking For
Kentucky Funeral Director license in good standing (or ability to obtain)
Leadership experience in funeral service or a similar service driven environment|
Strong communication, organization, and people leadership skills

Licensure RequirementCandidates must hold a Kentucky Funeral Director license in good standing or be eligible to obtain licensure in Kentucky. Licensure requires graduation from an accredited mortuary science program, successful completion of the National Board Examination, and completion of a Kentucky resident apprenticeship, in accordance with state regulations.
Essential Physical Abilities
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
Ability to lift, push, pull, or assist with transfers
Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and grasp while performing job duties
Ability to drive company vehicles as needed
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on call rotations
