Caregiver Responsibilities
Responsibilities may vary depending on the client’s needs, but can include:
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting with personal care such as bathing, grooming, and toileting
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Meal planning and preparation
- Transportation to appointments and errands
- Following individualized care plans
- Communicating professionally with clients, families, and team members
- Supporting client safety, comfort, and independence
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Willingness to complete all required employment screenings and training
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- Clean driving record
- Previous caregiving or home care experience preferred, but not required
- Reliable transportation
- Access to email and a smartphone
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality and professionalism at all times
