Final Inspection Supervisor
Department: Quality
Shift: Afternoon Shift (with responsibility for Night Shift oversight)
Reports To: Quality Manager / Senior Quality Supervisor
Location: Toronto Site
Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Final Inspection Supervisor – Afternoon Shift to lead and support Final Inspection operations during the afternoon shift while maintaining supervisory accountability for the night shift team. This role is responsible for ensuring inspection accuracy, quality compliance, staffing coverage, and performance management across both shifts to support consistent product quality and on-time shipment.
The successful candidate will be a strong people leader with a solid understanding of final inspection processes within a manufacturing environment and the ability to effectively manage teams working across different shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Supervisory & People Leadership
Provide direct supervision to Final Inspection employees on the afternoon shift and maintain functional oversight of the night shift team
Ensure consistent application of quality standards, work instructions, and inspection procedures across both shifts
Support scheduling, staffing coverage, training, and cross-training to ensure operational continuity
Coach, mentor, and develop employees, including performance feedback, corrective action, and annual reviews
Act as the primary point of escalation for inspection-related issues occurring on the night shift
Operational & Quality Oversight
Oversee daily final inspection activities to ensure finished product meets quality and customer requirements
Review inspection results, reject reports, final counts, and documentation for accuracy and completeness
Ensure discrepancies, defects, and quality trends are identified, investigated, and escalated appropriately
Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Shipping to support throughput and on-time delivery
Compliance, Safety & Continuous Improvement
Ensure adherence to all safety rules, quality procedures, and Controlled Goods Program (CGP) requirements
Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready inspection area across assigned shifts
Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection findings
Participate in audits and quality reviews as required
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in PCB inspection or quality-related manufacturing roles
Previous supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred
Strong understanding of final inspection processes, defect identification, and quality documentation
Proven ability to manage employees across multiple shifts
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Basic computer proficiency for reporting and documentation
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Post-secondary education in Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field is an asset

The expected base annual compensation range, in USD, for this position is as follows:
$68,044 - $113,407Please note that due to Controlled Goods Program (CGP) requirements, all applicants must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident in Canada.
