As a Maintenance Manager, your primary responsibility is to ensure the upkeep of all the plant machineries, equipment’s and other utility services of production, warehouses to have minimum disruptions in the operations. You will be also overseeing the daily activities of maintenance department; planning, organizing and directing the maintenance operations.
Here’s some of the other things you can look forward to:
Responsible for the daily activities of Maintenance Department; planning, organizing and directing the maintenance operations
Coordinates with Suppliers/Contractors/Consultants and Purchase Dept. for the procurement of spare parts, new machinery, facility, which are required for the existing/additional set-up
Proposes/implement the improvements that are arising from time-to-time changes/requirement for the current setup
Coordinate with external contractors/consultants for the project jobs
Inspect the fire protection system of the entire facilities under Supply at regular intervals and set up preventive maintenance plans for the upkeep of the system
As a fires Marshall conducts firefighting drill and educate personnel on the fire and safety issues.
Manage, develop and direct programs to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of facility
Responsible for the performance of the department in terms of achieving the KPls and manage spending against budget
Liaise regularly with other Departments such as Production, Logistics and Warehousing so as to arrest the bottle necks arising due to breakdowns
Advise production personnel to maintain all company properties in lean and serviceable conditions
Report all Maintenance activities, abnormalities, accidents, incidents to the Factory Manager and liaise with Maintenance and QHSE as required
Responsible for the inventory of the maintenance spare parts and will include the yearly stock counts
Responsible for the efficiency improvement in production and strive to work in that direction.
Responsible to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
To ensure that a safe and healthy work environment exists by adhering to company health, safety and environment policies
This role will report to the Factory Manager and will be based in Sharjah/UAE.
Furthermore, we expect that you have
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering will be preferred
Post graduation in Electromechanical systems is an advantage.
5 years of supervisory experience in maintenance in a chemical company will be a plus
Experience with ISO standards
Working knowledge of ERP Systems and Microsoft Office Software
Ideal candidate will come from an international industrial or chemical environment.
Competent in sustainable asset management, energy optimization and environmental stewardship
