Renaissance is seeking an experienced and motivated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinical leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the oversight, coordination, and management of nursing and medication services. You will be the clinical partner to our Registered Nurses and Administrators, driving compliance, training staff, and ensuring the highest quality of life for our residents. Reporting to the Registered Nurse and/or Administrator, you will be instrumental in the delivery of superior clinical services.
Clinical Leadership & Management
· Oversight: Coordinate and manage nursing, clinical, and medication services, ensuring resident physical, psychological, and emotional well-being.
· Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all nursing and assisted living regulations and state laws.
· Documentation: Perform essential documentation, including clinical notes and management of resident files, in collaboration with the care team.
· Evaluation: Perform evaluations of potential residents.
Teaching & Delegation
· Delegation: Delegate medication administration and related care tasks to Medication Technicians and Caregivers under RN supervision.
· Training: Provide essential education and training to team members on clinical processes, care plans, and pertinent healthcare information.
Direct Care & Assessment
· Assessment: Observe, record, and report changes in residents’ physical and mental conditions to the RN, Administrator, and physician.
· Procedures: Perform nursing procedures, treatments, and administer prescribed medications per the plan of care and physician orders, within the scope of licensure.
· Coordination: Communicate resident needs to the Administrator and Registered Nurse and coordinate care with outside agencies.
· On-Call: Perform assigned on-call duties and act as an available contact for clinical needs.
This role requires a dedicated professional with proven clinical and leadership skills.
· Licensure: Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of operation is required.
· Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of geriatric/senior living nursing experience preferred.
· Leadership: Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory and management experience preferred.
· Certifications: Current certifications in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and medications are required.
· Knowledge: Strong understanding of state rules, regulations, resident rights, fire codes, and safety practices.
· Flexibility: Requires schedule flexibility, including potential irregular hours, nights, weekends, and on-call availability (by phone). Must complete continuing education required by the state licensing agency.
· Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted.
· Integrity: Must pass a criminal background check and be subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
