About the role:
We are seeking an experienced, forward‑thinking leader with strong technical expertise to join the EMEA Marketing & Communications team as MarTech, Data & AI Operations Lead. This role will build and lead the technology function that underpins EMEA’s marketing strategy, establishing governance frameworks, architectural standards, delivery capabilities and operating models that enable consistent, high‑quality execution across 15+ territories.
This is a foundational role shaping how the region adopts automation and AI, manages data, and scales operations over the next 3–5 years. The role will define the future‑state MarTech strategy, govern AI and automation adoption, build sustainable technical capability, and deliver measurable business value through innovation and scale. With experience in SAFe and ITIL, the role will own the EMEA MarTech function and lead four core workstreams: a trusted data foundation; governed AI, agents and automation; standardised processes; and a scalable Marketing‑as‑a‑Service (MaaS) hub.
This senior leadership role has EMEA‑wide impact and works closely with regional leadership, territory teams, global marketing, technology and data governance forums, IT, and delivery partners to define standards, influence technology adoption, and shape the future operating model.
What your days will look like
Set strategic direction and governance: Define and evolve the EMEA MarTech, data and AI strategy; lead governance forums; set architectural and AI standards; and represent EMEA in global decision‑making to balance innovation, compliance and scale.
Design the operating model: Shape how EMEA marketing operates at scale by defining the onshore/offshore model, building the Marketing‑as‑a‑Service hub, and establishing process standards that enable consistency while respecting local needs.
Drive delivery and financial outcomes: Turn strategy into a clear technology roadmap, oversee delivery of automation, data and platform initiatives, manage multi‑million‑euro investments, and demonstrate measurable return on technology spend.
Build and lead capability: Lead and develop a high‑performing technical organisation, grow future leaders, create clear career pathways, and ensure the team can deliver today while building capability for the future.
This role is for you if:
You bring senior experience in marketing operations, MarTech or transformation roles within complex, multi‑territory, multi‑stakeholder environments, with hands‑on exposure to platforms such as Salesforce and Adobe.
You operate confidently between strategy and execution, translating leadership priorities into scalable operating models, processes and services.
You have built and led enduring operational capabilities, with accountability for continuity, evolution and long‑term impact beyond time‑bound change programmes.
You have deep expertise in MarTech, OpsTech and data foundations, including governance, integration, adoption, cloud data platforms, analytics and AI enablement in enterprise settings.
You bring practical experience with AI, intelligent automation, RPA and agent‑based workflows, including ethical deployment and compliance across European regulatory environments.
You have led blended delivery models, managed significant budgets with clear ROI, and influenced senior stakeholders across global, regional and local organisations while building and developing high‑performing teams.
