ROLE: The Director of Manufacturing Engineering owns the strategic and tactical responsibility for implementing manufacturing strategy and strategic operational goals to exceed customer expectations for product quality, cost and delivery, maximizing efficiency, optimizing production levels and driving operational excellence. This role will work closely with internal and external key stakeholders, regarding technical support for activities, striving for best-in-class products and business practices to deliver to the customer’s expectations, managing teams and projects across the business. They will provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence and mentor them as they develop new skills. They will drive Key Performance Indicators across all areas of the Manufacturing function to ensure that all projects are delivered on cost and on time to the highest quality standards. They will ensure Health, Safety and Environmental issues are prioritized and facilitated and drive lean manufacturing strategy.

Language: English -Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate orally and in writing
Computer Skills: Working knowledge of basic Microsoft Suite –Outlook, Word, Excel; working knowledge of 3D Cad/Cam systems (Pro/E Solidworks, Wildfire 2.0 preferred.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Abilities: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Organizational Skills: Must have excellent organizational skills; high attention to detail required.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of aircraft engine components, controls & accessories, and/or aircraft interiors preferred; knowledge of aerospace materials and coatings is preferred; knowledge of conventional aerospace manufacturing methods, including; milling, turning, grinding, lapping, stamping, forging, casting, molding, EDM, ECM, welding, brazing, heat treating, etc. is preferred, knowledge of basic structural, thermal, and modal analysis of mechanical components required

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position will work primarily in an office environment with low noise level, but may have some exposure to the manufacturing floor which has mid to high noise level with exposure to manufacturing machinery / equipment (Examples: metal can manufacturing department, large earth-moving equipment).
