Position Summary:
Responsible for ensuring quality parts are produced and/or assembled by conducting visual and touchpoint inspection of parts produced by a press, while meeting production rates or efficiency requirements.
Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to, the following:
- Conduct routine visual and touchpoint part inspections according to a standard to ensure quality parts are produced.
- Function as a team member to identify and solve problems focusing on safety, quality and productivity issues.
- Maintain workplace organization (5S).
- Understand and ensure compliance for product labeling.
- Maintain safe working environment by adhering to all PPE requirements and safety policies.
- Communicate and inform the leader, group tech lead and co-workers of trends and potential problems.
- Attain and maintain a Powered Industrial Truck license if required.
- Additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the leader.
- Trainer Designation:
- Pass the Trainer interview and Train the Trainer course
- Show competence and be able to train to all manufacturing systems and philosophies
- Explain all manufacturing systems and philosophies and the impact of the manufacturing associate within quality and within the business as a whole
- Accurately evaluate and complete required assessment of trainee
- Provide clear and concise communications/feedback to the trainee and to members of leadership
- Provide direction to the trainee with whom to contact for answers to questions, concerns, and ideas
