The Merchandising Process and Systems Manager is a professional with a strong analytical mindset and proven experience in merchandising processes and systems. The profile will be the architect of our digital merchandising workflows and supports the design, development, and evolution of digital processes and systems that enable global merchandising activities. The person contributes to building reliable and well-structured technological solutions that support business decisions while preserving the central role of craftsmanship.
Role Responsibilities
The Merchandising Process Manager works closely with Merchandising, Supply Chain, and IT teams, ensuring that product lifecycle data flows seamlessly across systems and that tools effectively support planning, analysis, and decision-making and is responsible for ensuring that merchandising processes and systems are coherent, efficient, and scalable.
Key activities include:
Designing, optimising, and integrating end-to-end data flows across enterprise systems, ensuring the accuracy and continuity of product lifecycle information
Developing advanced analytical models to support assortment planning and inventory optimisation, translating complex commercial and operational variables into reliable forecasts
Analysing and re-engineering merchandising planning processes to reduce complexity, improve efficiency, and enable timely decision-making
In addition, the role contributes to the development of bespoke digital tools, dashboards, and reporting solutions that make data more accessible to merchandising teams. The role also evaluates the use of emerging technologies — including AI and machine learning — to automate repetitive tasks and strengthen decision-making.
Qualifications
Experience in merchandising process development, analytics, or systems, preferably within the Fashion or Luxury industry
Strong background in process engineering, systems design, or data architecture, with exposure to merchandising or supply chain dynamics
Proficiency in planning and merchandising systems (e.g. Board, Anaplan), data manipulation tools (SQL, Python, or R), and data visualisation platforms (Power BI, Tableau)
Good knowledge of enterprise systems such as SAP ERP, Centric PLM, or similar
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business challenges into scalable solutions
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical and creative stakeholders
Master’s degree in Management Engineering, Computer Science, or other highly quantitative disciplines
Knowledge of Italian and English is required.
