INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a Lead Metering Control System to join our dynamic Wellhead and Skids Solutions team. This role is pivotal in supporting Modular Skid Packages, Wellhead Control Panels, and Pressure Regulation Systems to enhance the safe and efficient operation of oil and gas systems. What You’ll Lead and Deliver
- Ensure compliance with custody transfer and fiscal metering standards, including understanding of custody basis, uncertainty calculations, meter-factor determination, proving practices, audit requirements, and applicable reporting/ticketing rules.
- Lead the engineering, configuration, and setup of Flow Computers, including meter runs, communication maps, security levels, diagnostics, backups, report configuration, proving logic, and FAT simulation.
- Apply and interpret industry flow measurement standards such as API MPMS, AGA, ISO, and OIML/legal metrology requirements in the design, implementation, and auditing of metering systems.
- Perform hands-on configuration and detailed engineering of flow computers (e.g., OMNI, Emerson/Daniel, ABB/SpiritIT Flow-X, Honeywell, or equivalent platforms).
- Translate customer and project requirements into engineering deliverables, including URS, FDS, control narratives, sequence of operations, report/ticket definitions, and FAT/SAT test procedures.
- Prepare for and lead FAT, IFAT, SAT, commissioning, and start-up activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and metering standards.
- Configure and validate meter proving systems, including proving sequences, pass/fail criteria, repeatability checks, detector inputs, meter-factor calculations, and proving reports.
- Configure and validate operational and custody reports, including daily, batch, proving, audit, alarm/event, and ticket reports, as supported by the selected flow computer platform.
- Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of flow computer issues related to communications, calculations, I/O, alarms, reports, memory, time synchronization, and backup/restore functionality.
- Support system integration activities, including interfaces with PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and third-party systems, ensuring accurate data exchange and reliable system performance.
- Participate in design reviews, technical audits, documentation reviews, and training activities, providing technical guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure system performance, reliability, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle, from design and testing through commissioning and operational handover.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, control systems, or related engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience with MCS, FCS, PLC systems, and SCADA.
- Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation and automation systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
