About the Role
Reporting to the Room Leader, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality education and care programs at either Mia Mia Child and Family Study Centre or Gumnut Cottage, two of the four Early Learning Centres operating at Macquarie University. Your key responsibilities consist of:
Contributing to the educational program, including developmental records
Interacting respectfully and positively with children and families
Working positively, respectfully, and collaboratively with a large, diverse team
Maintaining a current understanding of the EYLF and National Quality Standards
Supporting and contributing to all diversity, equity, and inclusion activities
Demonstrating a commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
Undertaking the Responsible Person and/or Room Leader roles as required
Following approved policies and procedures to help keep children safe, including child protection, supervision, health, and wellbeing

U@MQ Ltd is a not-for-profit, controlled entity of Macquarie University known as Campus Life. It is located at Macquarie University's Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde. Campus Life has four early learning centres providing high-quality education to children from six weeks of age and one vacation care program for primary school-aged children.
Our play-based educational programs are built around supporting and encouraging a love for learning that involves curiosity, creativity, and innovation. As well as connecting with others, oneself, and the environment and supporting each child's dispositions for learning, wellbeing and celebrating the importance of childhood as a unique and valuable time.

ACECQA approved Diploma in early childhood education
Approved First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualification
Current Working with Children Check
Food Handling Training
Approved Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk of Harm qualification
Computer literacy (e.g., Office 365)
You share our organisational values of Courage, Agility, Rigour, Empowerment and Support (CARES) and commit to these being visible in your actions and words
Experience working with children aged 0–5 years (Desirable)
