The Arizona Republic/azcentral.com, part of the USA TODAY NETWORK, is seeking a Features AI Innovation Intern to join our newsroom. Arizona State University’s Knight Center for the Future of News and The Republic have partnered to offer this internship. This journalist will work to build and experiment with new, AI-backed tools, experiences and offerings for The Republic’s restaurant-obsessed audience. Tasks include research, data preparation, content structuring and product testing in a collaborative environment where learning and growing are prioritized. Responsibilities: • Use approved AI tools to build new prototypes, ideate and experiment toward what’s next. • Collaborate across teams and departments to innovate. Requirements: • Enrolled Arizona State University student in good standing. • Adhere to ethical guidance on use of artificial intelligence.
