The Manager Transport Disposition is responsible for leading and coordinating intermodal transportation operations, ensuring efficient container movement through different transportation modes within the operational network. This role oversees vendor performance, operational compliance, process optimization, and team management to ensure service quality, cost efficiency, and smooth operational execution aligned with company standards and customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the timely and cost-efficient transport of containers by rail, truck, barge and feeder vessel to/from locations within the area of operation. Guides, coaches and supports the Transport Dispatch department.
- Monitors the quality of vendors and issues non-compliance when necessary.
- Makes certain that proper routings are used to ensure the most cost-effective intermodal operation.
- Monitors and verifies work orders are performed in requested time frame.
- Researches and provides documentation for all matters relating to intermodal cargo claims.
- Responsible for compliance with all related laws regarding Hazmat, Heavy/Overweight, and Out-of-Gauge cargoes.
- Develops new business processes for smoother workflows.
- Monitors and measures workload of staff to ensure best process is in place.
- Accountable for problem resolution with customers, vendors, and other offices within the company.
- Selects and reviews vendors utilized by the Transport Dispatch staff across various routings.
- Approves and transfers all work orders exceeding coordinator authorization.
- Provides training for staff on new systems, regulations and requirements.
- Quotes inland rates for intermodal, out-of-gauge, special equipment and heavyweight transports.
- Prepares vendor evaluations per Hapag-Lloyd quality manuals, and monitors vendor service levels.
- Monitor TMS functionality and support portal performance.
- Managing Sales force and case management through TMS.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years | Specific Experience: Maritime and logistics Industry
- Education: University Degree, Transportation Engineer or similar.
- Advanced level of English and Spanish (part of the selection process will be conducted in both languages).
- Knowledge of Logistics.
