The International Hotel School, Support Office is looking for an Academic Head. The purpose of this role is to manage the quality of provision, support and compliance across the academic department for the International Hotel School.
The Academic Head will report directly to the Dean.
Key Responsibilities of the roleâ Improve on curriculum quality, development, and delivery within the spectrum of the compliance fram ework
â Tabling items for Academic Board, ARM, Advisory board and implement action followingâ Analysis of academic surveys, accreditation reports, QA reports and roll-out operational contingency plans
â HOA support at campuses
â Disciplinary enquiries and processing of appeals and special academic requests
â Manage New Programme Development and current module review process
â Prepare for Programme accreditation submission and site visits, input to SER for QAF
â Ensure Institutional and student compliance criteria and policies are adhered to
â P ublisher engagement in identifying text/online resources
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
â Master’s degree in hospitality and tourism with Hospitality specialisation
â 5 years lecturing experience
â 5 years Programme Management Experience

â Understanding of the HE regulatory environment and programme development
â Strong administrative skills
â Good interpersonal communication skills
â Ability to work under pressure
