Software Engineer in Test - Python

Sabre Air Offers system handles flight travel requests from travel agents, online agencies, and airlines, enabling search engines and agents to offer the most convenient flight options at the lowest price.

The system is a complex ecosystem composed of multiple components, primarily developed in C++, processing over 15,000 transactions per second and hosted in a public cloud environment. The complexity of business logic requires continuous focus on code quality, efficient design, and the adoption of modern technologies to meet growing processing demands and ensure low response times.

Software Engineer in Test plays a key role in maintaining high-quality software delivery. Test automation is a core focus. Knowledge of XML testing and scripting in Python is essential. The role requires strong analytical skills, troubleshooting abilities, and a curiosity to understand how systems work. The team ensures a high-quality customer experience through consistent application of agile testing practices.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases

• Analyze test results, identify defects, and support troubleshooting

• Collaborate with development engineers and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve issues

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts

• Contribute to improving test coverage and automation efficiency

• Participate in evaluating new tools, technologies, and testing approaches

QUALIFICATIONS

What we are looking for:

• previous experience in Quality Assurance, including test design and execution

• Experience with Python scripting language

• Experience working in Agile / iterative development environments

• Experience with XML-based testing

• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively

• Experience collaborating with distributed teams

• Experience in backend system testing

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)

• Experience with test automation tools

• Good English communication skills (written and verbal)
