• Following established ISO and QAKE 19 certifications and procedures.
• Training, interacting and communicating with other Laboratory personnel, Operations and warehousing personnel in a professional manner.
• Performing quality control testing and reporting of in-process samples to support the compliant operations of the plant.
• Ensuring documentation of laboratory activities including the use of logbooks, databases, Laboratory Information Management System, check sheet, etc.
• Operating, maintaining, and providing troubleshooting information using a wide range of laboratory equipment including automated viscometers, volumetric titrator, TOC analyzers, spectrophotometers, KF titrator, etc.
• Ensuring and maintaining adequate laboratory supply inventory, cleanliness of lab areas and to ensure organization and safety.
Must have relevant experience with the following instrumentation:
• APHA colorimeter
• UV-VIS Spectrophotometer
• Viscometer and other wet analysis.
• Ability to work with a diverse team including Lab Tech, Operations, Warehousing personnel, etc.
• Self-driven with a high degree of initiative and time management skills.
• Must have the highest standards of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Must be highly organized, flexible and capable of adapting to priority changes on a regular basis.
• Experience in a production environment is a plus.
• Basic computer skill with experience using a Laboratory Info. Management System.
• Good Oral and Written communication skills
• Good mechanical aptitude and strong problem solving skills
• Formal education/degree/certificate in construction, technical or trade school
Physical Requirements:
· Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting.
· Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls and tools.
· May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
· Must be able to work at heights and be able to climb ladders and stairways as well as work on elevated platforms
· Will as needed work at heights, climb ladders and stairways and work off of platforms. Will work at heights up to 300’ utilizing proper fall protection.
· Must be capable of working outside in the elements including heat, cold, rain, snow and wind
· Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limiting to hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, fall arrest harness, face shield, ear plugs, and goggles.
