The Regional Outreach Coordinator performs informational and educational work. Work involves the comprehensive preparation, coordination, and dissemination of child support services and information concerning the functions of the agency, including federal regulations. Encourages public participation in agency programs.

Speaks publicly about child support services, Acknowledgment of Paternity (AOP) issues, and parenting/ paternity responsibilities in presentations to the region’s secondary schools, community-based organizations, and certified AOP entities
Monitors certified entities for compliance with AOP law
Conducts state-wide AOP seminars
Recruits volunteers, interns, and employees
Trains internal and external entities on legal issues and procedures pertaining to the execution of an AOP
Develops and maintains relationships with higher learning institutions
Conducts interviews and researches various sources to determine intern and volunteer needs
Facilitates collaborative informational activities with organizations and entities that work with current or potential child support customers and youth
Participates in conferences to provide information about child support services
Performs related work as assigned
Maintains relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions
Attends work regularly in compliance with agreed-upon work schedule
Ensures security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected information
Complies with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrity
Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; experience in the following (or closely related) fields may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis: full-time Child Support Program, volunteer/intern recruiting, public speaking, adult training, customer service or other outreach activities
Experience: Three (3) years of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: Child Support Program, volunteer/intern recruiting, public speaking, adult training, or other outreach activities
Skill in using the computer for word-processing
Skill in working independently
Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
Skill in effective oral and written communication
Skill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making
Ability to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback
Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional office environment
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Ability to work in person at assigned OAG work location, perform all assigned tasks at designated OAG work space within OAG work location, and perform in-person work with coworkers (e.g., collaborating, training, mentoring) for the entirety of every work week (unless on approved leave)
Ability to arrange for personal transportation for business-related travel
Ability to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSA
Ability to lift and relocate 30 lbs.
Ability to travel (including overnight travel) up to 25%
Information Specialist IV: All of the above minimum qualifications for an Information Specialist III, PLUS:
Experience: Three (3) additional years of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: Child Support Program, volunteer/intern recruiting, public speaking, adult training, or other outreach activities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: working with secondary education or higher education students and faculty and community-based organizations
Knowledge: Child Support Program policies and procedures
Other Language: Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak Spanish
