We're looking for a passionate QA Automation Intern to play a key role in shaping the future of banking products and services through cutting-edge technologies.
What will you contribute? (Responsibility)
As a QA Automation Intern, you won't just be learning - you'll be building, shipping, and helping shape how we ensure quality at scale. Your work will include:
- Structured Learning & Onboarding: Join the Tyme Internship Program and dive into hands-on training on the TymeX automation ecosystem - covering end-to-end API testing, mobile automation across Android and iOS, and integrating our test frameworks with Slackbot commands for one-click test execution.
- Mentorship-Driven Practice: Pair with experienced QA engineers who'll guide you in designing, writing, and maintaining end-to-end automated tests that raise product quality and shorten our time to market. Get hands-on with AI-powered testing approaches - including self-healing locators and AI-assisted test generation.
- Real Agile Experience: Embed with an Agile teams and contribute to iteration planning, requirements analysis, and the deployment process - seeing first-hand how modern fintech delivery actually works.
- Lending Domain Deep-Dive: Build a working understanding of how a lending product, operates end-to-end - from instant credit eligibility and installment plan setup to scheduled repayments and collections - and translate that knowledge into meaningful test scenarios.
- From Requirements to Tests: Read business and functional specs alongside the squad, then design and automate test scenarios that cover both happy paths and the tricky edge cases - the kind that matter most in financial products.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Educational Background: Must be a fresh graduate or a third/final-year student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Computer Science Fundamentals: Solid grasp of core concepts including the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and basic Database Management & SQL/noSQL.
- Programming Foundation: Working knowledge of Java - the core language of our automation stack. Comfortable writing clean, readable code from coursework, personal projects, or internships.
- Quality & Testing Mindset: A natural curiosity about how products work - and an instinct to find the cases that break them. Familiarity with software testing fundamentals (test cases, regression, manual vs. automation) from coursework, projects, or self-learning is a plus.
- Modern Dev Tooling Awareness: Basic exposure to Git, REST APIs, and a conceptual understanding of CI/CD pipelines - you don't need to be an expert, just unafraid of them.
- Self-Motivation: Passionate about self-improvement, comfortable working independently with minimal supervision, and unafraid to ask questions when stuck.
- Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Strong analytical ability - can break down a complex problem, isolate the root cause, and reason carefully through edge cases.
- Collaboration & Communication: Excellent teamwork; thrives in an Agile teams and communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical teammates.
- English Proficiency: Able to read, write, speak, and listen in English at a competent professional level - comfortable with English technical documentation.
Nice to have:
- Mobile Testing Familiarity: Any prior exposure to mobile app testing on Android or iOS - manual or automated, from coursework, hackathons, or self-learning - is a strong plus.
- Curiosity for AI in Testing: Hands-on tinkering with AI coding assistants (Claude, Copilot, Cursor, etc.), or interest in AI-powered testing concepts like self-healing locators or AI-assisted test generation - we're actively building in this space.
- Cloud & DevOps Basics: Awareness of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS) or comfort with basic Linux commands - from coursework, certifications, or hobby projects.
- Fintech & Banking Interest: Genuine curiosity about how digital banks, payments, or lending products work under the hood - bonus points if you've explored fintech in school clubs, blogs, or side projects.
