Key Job Responsibilities
Ready to serve as a leader to drive the day-to-day accounting functions including G/L, accruals, reconciliations etc.
Manage the monthly, semiannual, and annual closing procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
Oversee the AR, Gross and Net Revenue, Fixed Asset, and expense (concur) functions.
Responsible for financial reporting and HQ Reporting packages.
Owns the Month-end Close Process
Ensures Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations are completed and reviewed
Ensure that proper general ledger supporting documentation with adequate explanation is created.
Ensure internal controls are effectively operating.
Take a lead role in updating and improving accounting systems and processes.
Assisting with interim and year-end financial audits.
Assist with the organization’s compliance with federal, SALT and international tax and regulatory matters.
Cross-training in full range of accounting functions and act as back up for those functions as necessary.
Work on special projects and other duties as assigned.
Initiate and assist in Process flow documentations for accounting functions.
Education, Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
Active CPA license is preferred.
8+ years relevant accounting experience required, preferably 5+ years in Industry.
3+ years Public Accounting experience preferred.
Expert excel skills are required.
