We are seeking a strategic, analytical professional to lead economic evaluations and investment analysis that shape our Petro-Canada network, capital portfolio, and long‑term growth strategy. Minimum Requirements:
5+ years of progressive experience in Network Planning, Project Planning, or Economic Analysis roles, ideally within Oil & Gas / Downstream Energy / Retail Fuels
University degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, or Engineering
Proven experience building and interpreting financial and economic models
Strong understanding of investment evaluation methodologies including NPV, IRR, sensitivity analysis, scenario modelling, and risk assessment
Advanced stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions in a non-authoritative environment and synthesize data into clear insights and recommendations
Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI

Key Responsibilities:
Lead economic evaluations and strategic analysis supporting capital investments, portfolio rationalization and network optimization opportunities
Conduct market analysis and assess site performance to evaluate the long-term profitability of proposed network investments, providing recommendations to senior stakeholders
Lead the development and optimization of the Risk Mitigation and Compliance project portfolio, including long-range capital plans and prioritization
Support the preparation of Capital and Expense Decision Support Packages including recommendations, sensitivities, and risk assessments for senior leadership approval
Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Strategy, Finance, Marketing and Corporate Economics teams to align on recommendations and execution plans
Support ad-hoc strategic analysis tied to broader commercial and operational initiatives
Location and other Key Details:
This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday with occasional site visits
