Job Duties:

Support DBVI’s mission to empower individuals who are blind, vision impaired, or deafblind by ensuring legal compliance, transparent processes, and clear policy and regulatory frameworks.
DBVI is seeking a Sr. Policy Analyst to provide policy, legislative, and regulatory leadership; serve as the agency’s liaison for legislative matters; oversee the regulatory program; manage the development of policy and guidance documents; coordinate statutory compliance related to ADA, FOIA, PII, HIPAA, public hearings, and related requirements; and serve as DBVI’s Fair Hearings and Appeals Coordinator.
To meet the expectations of this job, the employee will have access to personally identifiable and confidential information about agency consumers and/or agency staff.
Other duties and/or special projects will be assigned as needed. The employee completes duties and/or projects as directed by the supervisor.”

• Knowledge of vocational rehabilitation services.
• Experience working in a state agency or in a legal, regulatory, or public policy environment.

• Experience coordinating compliance activities, including ADA, FOIA, HIPAA, and PII.
• Experience with hearings, appeals, or due process procedures.
