Job Description
As a Security Officer Patrol Report Writer in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy government transportation location, where you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. In this visible role, you will help to deter security-related incidents while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care for people, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with local contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, administrative areas, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry for staff, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors in accordance with site-specific protocols.
- Assist with traffic and pedestrian flow, provide directions and general information, and report maintenance, life-related, and/or operational issues observed during patrols.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
