Job Summary
As EMEA Transition Director, you'll lead the EMEA Services Transition Team in onboarding new customers to HP Services contractual engagements and managing the process from post-deal signature to full production operations. This will include oversight of the services segment management function within a mid-sized, complex business or overseeing a significant sub-function for a substantial and intricate business segment.
Within this role you'll lead strategic planning, team management, and policy implementation while ensuring effective resource allocation. You will direct the overall performance of service products, solutions, technologies, and business segments, while tracking business metrics. You will also be responsible for risk mitigation, budgeting, and operational excellence within the designated domain, contributing to talent management and development.
Responsibilities
- Manage the services segment management function for a mid-sized, complex business, or oversee a significant sub-function for one of the organization’s extensive and complex businesses.
- Formulate and spearhead the conception, planning, execution, communication, and delivery of the organization's services segment management undertakings within the purview of responsibility across the entirety of the corporate structure.
- Assume responsibility for steering a cohort of managers and individual contributors engaged in services segment management operations, establishing comprehensive project directives, sanctioning financial and human capital allotments for initiatives and projects.
- Oversee the performance of business metrics related to both products and services, such as Time to Revenue, account margin, and Total Customer Experience (TCE), while also developing recovery plans to address any exceptional issues.
- Direct the overall performance of a diverse range of service products, solutions, technologies, and business segments, which constitute a significant portion of the total business.
- Guide the progression and implementation of strategic choices and organizational policies, identify consequences of decisions on a regional or global scale, offering pertinent remedies and avenues for enhancement.
- Lead initiatives for process enhancement and policy development that impact services segment management function on a sub-regional or regional scale, while also extending guidance on service programs of the highest complexity.
- Formulate, oversee, and execute the budget for the function, anticipate fund requirements, and monitor expenditures for a sizable and complex business at a country level.
- Oversee operational success, align strategies, and integrate activities with major organizational functions, setting policies and owning numerous measurable goals.
- Perform talent management responsibilities including recruitment, performance management, coaching and career development.
Education & Experience Recommended
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically, 12+ years of job-related and/or management experience, preferably in service business management, delivery, solution architecting, business planning, or a related field.
- Prior experience managing and mentoring a team
- Direct customer engagement and service experience with a deep understanding of how HP delivers services.
- Prior experience in an operations focused role; setting structure and guiding operational rigor while managing cost.
- Demonstrated growth mindset and ability to lead a team through change.
- Proven ability to collaborate and build cross functional relationships.
- ITIL certification desirable
