We have an opportunity for a Search & Content Specialist to join our Digital Innovation team, owning and evolving how our books, authors and brand are discovered across search and emerging AI-driven ecosystems. You will take ownership of SEO and discoverability, shaping how we approach search, content and tracking performance for the business. You will partner with creative and commercial teams, to ensure our content is optimised for real audience demand and aligned to commercial priorities.

This role is ideal for someone ready to step up. You’ll move beyond execution into ownership, setting standards, influencing stakeholders and helping prepare the business for the future of search.

What you will do:

• Optimising author pages, book pages and digital content to reflect search intent and commercial priorities.
• Planning and delivering a discoverability-led content optimisation roadmap in partnership with internal teams and external partners.
• Coordinating technical SEO initiatives, including audits and improvements across crawlability, indexability, site performance and structured data.
• Working closely with web developers to prioritise and implement SEO improvements.
• Leading alignment on metadata, schema and content standards across the organisation.
• Analysing search demand, identifying opportunities and using data to inform content and optimisation strategies.
• Tracking and reporting on organic performance, including visibility, keyword performance and emerging AI-driven discovery channels.
• Communicating insights, trends and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
• Creating and maintaining SEO-friendly content guidelines and briefs across metadata, blurbs, product descriptions and on-page content.
• Supporting teams in understanding and applying discoverability best practices in their workflows.

What you will bring:

• 3–5 years’ experience in SEO, digital content or discoverability roles, with a track record of improving organic performance.

• Strong understanding of modern SEO, with an interest in AI-driven search and discovery.
• Hands-on experience with reporting tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, SEMrush (or similar).
• Ability to balance content quality with SEO best practice, with a strong commercial lens.
• Experience working with CMS platforms and managing content at scale.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across both creative and commercial teams.
