Auckland Council’s Licensing and Compliance Department has exciting opportunities for Senior Alcohol Licensing Inspectors to join our Alcohol Licensing teams in Auckland Central. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead with purpose and help shape a safer, more sustainable Auckland.
You’ll be at the forefront of protecting our communities from alcohol related harm, guiding inspectors, and driving region wide initiatives that promote responsible alcohol practices. Your work will directly influence community wellbeing and responsible alcohol practices across Tāmaki Makaurau, achieved through meaningful collaboration across council, agencies, and communities.

This role calls for someone with a strong background in regulatory or investigative work, and a strong understanding of alcohol licensing legislation and compliance frameworks. You’re confident navigating complex issues, mentoring others, and advocating for safe and responsible practices.
You’re a natural communicator, skilled in negotiation, conflict resolution, and building strong relationships. You’re also process and solution driven, resilient, and committed to continuous improvement.

The remuneration range for this role is $90,000 - $95,000 (Based on relevant skills and experience)
