The Opportunity: 

Job Summary

The Citrix & W365 Lead is responsible for Deploying and maintaining the organization's virtual desktop and application delivery infrastructure. This leadership role focuses on managing the existing Citrix environment while spearheading the strategic adoption, integration, and potential migration to Microsoft Windows 365 Cloud PCs and related Azure services, ensuring an optimal, secure, and unified user experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Architecture:

1. Develop and execute the strategy for coexistence, integration, or migration from Citrix VDI to Windows 365 (W365) Cloud PCs.
2. Implement design and architect scalable, high-availability EUC solutions leveraging Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD/DaaS), NetScaler (ADC), and Windows 365/Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
3. Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise on EUC best practices, security, and performance optimization.

2. Implementation & Management:

1. Citrix Management: Install, configure, and maintain all components of the Citrix farm (e.g., Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, NetScaler Gateway, Machine Creation Services/Provisioning Services).
2. Windows 365 Management: Design and implement provisioning policies, user assignments, and image management for W365 Cloud PCs using Microsoft Intune and Azure services.
3. Manage user profiles and data migration, often utilizing solutions like Folder redirection, FSLogix, across both platforms.
4. Develop and maintain gold images for both Citrix and W365, ensuring application compatibility and security compliance.

3. Automation & Optimization:

1. Utilize PowerShell scripting, Azure Automation, and potentially Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) to automate deployment, configuration, and routine administrative tasks.
2. Monitor and proactively tune the environment for performance, capacity, and cost-efficiency.
3. Implement and manage monitoring tools (e.g., Citrix Director, Systrack, Azure Monitor) to ensure high availability and user experience.

4. Security & Compliance:

1. Implement and enforce security best practices, including Conditional Access Policies, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and endpoint protection within the Citrix and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) framework.
2. Ensure the EUC environment adheres to all internal security standards and regulatory compliance requirements.

5. Collaboration & Leadership:

1. Act as the final point of escalation (Level 3/4) for complex EUC-related incidents and problems.
2. Collaborate with networking, security, application, and service desk teams for seamless operations and issue resolution.
3. Create detailed technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge articles.
4. Mentor and guide junior administrators and team members.
    

Required Technical Skills and Experience
Expertise in Citrix Technologies:
Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD/DaaS)
 Citrix ADC (NetScaler) - Load Balancing, Gateway
 Citrix Cloud Services
Expertise in Microsoft EUC/Cloud Technologies:
Windows 365 (W365) Cloud PC and/or Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
 Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager) - Configuration, App Management, Device Compliance
 Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and Active Directory (AD)
 Microsoft 365 application optimization (e.g., Teams, OneDrive)
Strong Scripting and Automation Skills (Advanced):
PowerShell, with experience in automating VDI/Cloud PC tasks.
Complete knowledge of ITIL
Other Key Technologies:
  a. Operating System Deployment (OSD) and image management.
  b. User Profile Management solutions (e.g., FSLogix).
  c.  Networking fundamentals (VPN, DNS, firewalls, load balancing).
  d. Virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Qualifications (Education & Certification)
 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
 10+ years of experience in End-User Computing or Infrastructure Engineering.
 Preferred Certifications:
  a. Citrix Certified Associate/Professional/Expert – Virtualization (CCA-V, CCP-V, CCE-V)
  b. Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
  c. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
