We are seeking a Senior PCB Design Layout Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in high-quality printed circuit board (PCB) design and layout. This role is responsible for creating complex PCB layouts, collaborating with electrical and mechanical engineering teams, and ensuring designs meet manufacturability, signal integrity, and reliability requirements.
A formal degree is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong practical experience and demonstrated expertise in PCB layout will be strongly considered.
Design and develop complex multilayer PCB layouts for high-speed and mixed-signal electronics.
Translate electrical schematics into fully manufacturable PCB designs.
Collaborate with electrical engineers to optimize layout for signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and thermal performance.
Work closely with mechanical engineers to ensure proper board fit and enclosure compatibility.
Develop and maintain PCB design libraries, footprints, and layout standards.
Generate manufacturing outputs including Gerbers, ODB++, fabrication drawings, and assembly documentation.
Interface with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors to resolve DFM/DFA issues.
Perform design reviews and ensure adherence to company and industry design standards.
Support prototype builds, debugging, and design improvements.
Mentor junior PCB designers and help establish best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
7+ years of professional experience in PCB design, layout, or hardware engineering
Strong expertise in multi‑layer PCB design, high‑speed routing, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
Hands‑on experience with PCB design tools such as Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer, KiCad, or similar
Working knowledge of IPC standards and PCB quality best practices
Ability to troubleshoot complex layout issues and guide technical decision‑making
Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering and manufacturing teams
Proven organizational and project management skills in a fast‑paced environment
Experience with RF, high-speed interfaces (DDR, PCIe, USB, Ethernet), or mixed-signal designs
Knowledge of signal integrity analysis tools
The salary range for this role is $110K-$135K and we consider a broad scope of factors when making compensation decisions.
