MD or equivalent degree required.
Must be ABPN-certified or eligible for certification in psychiatry, with the expectation of becoming certified in accordance with the UAMS bylaws.
Eligibility for and subsequent success in obtaining an unrestricted Arkansas medical license, malpractice insurance, and credentialing by central Arkansas teaching hospitals are required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Successful candidates will be excellent clinicians as well as outstanding teachers or researchers.
Able to work well collaboratively and enjoy being part of a team that accomplishes more than any individual can.
Responsibilities:
Teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows
Working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Providing excellent clinical care, including evidence-based psychiatric diagnostic assessment and treatment
Completing medical records according to professional standards and in a timely manner using the UAMS EMR system
Additional service to the College, University, and profession is expected as needs are identified
