About the role:
The Sr Data Analyst - Data Integration is responsible for the critical first mile of our data strategy: extracting raw content from Gartner Peer Insights and Peer Community databases and transforming it into trusted, self-service PowerBI datasets. This role is central to preparing for and leveraging AI tools to enhance data analytics and insights. You will focus on robust data wrangling using SQL and Python, and ensure that data is governed, clean, and structured for analytics. This role emphasizes expertise in Microsoft platforms (including PowerBI), Azure, and AWS, enabling seamless integration and automation. Building strong partnerships with Business and Technology Insights (BTI) is a key part of the role.
What you will do:
• Design and maintain robust PowerBI datasets and dataflows that serve as the single source of truth for Peer Insights and Community data analysis.
• Implement data governance best practices, ensuring all data entering the analysis sandbox is validated, documented, and secure.
• Execute data transformation processes (ETL/ELT) to convert raw reviews and community discussions into structured formats suitable for self-service analysis.
• Implement and maintain AI-powered solutions within data pipelines to automate and improve data processing and integration.
• Collaborate with the Peer Content Product teams and IT to automate data transfers and ensure schema changes are reflected in downstream dashboards.
• Create and manage a self-service analysis data set that allows the Content Insights team to perform rapid analysis without constant technical intervention.
• Monitor data quality and freshness, proactively troubleshooting issues to ensure analysts are always working with the latest information.
• Support the integration of advanced features, such as LLM summarization, into the reporting workflow to handle unstructured text data.
What you will need:
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience required.
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI (DAX, Power Query, dataset management), SQL, and Python.
• Strong understanding of Data Governance principles (data quality, cataloging, security, and stewardship).
• Experience with Microsoft platforms, Azure, and AWS for data integration and automation.
• A "Citizen Developer" mindset: the ability to build tools that empower others to answer their own questions, rather than just answering requests ad-hoc.
• Problem-solving mindset: the ability to figure out how to extract data from complex legacy systems and make it usable for business analysts.
• Excellent collaboration skills, with a focus on building productive partnerships with BTI and engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
What you will get:
Competitive salary, generous paid time off policy, charity match program, Group Medical Insurance,
Parental Leave, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and more!
Collaborative, team-oriented culture that embraces diversity
Professional development and unlimited growth opportunities
