As a Junior Design Engineer, you will support the technical development of Integrated Thermal Management Systems modules (ITMS), contributing from early customer engagement and requirement clarification through to project execution. Working in an ASPICE‑compliant environment, you will develop your engineering skills while supporting design decisions and learning best‑in‑class engineering solutions using JE production technologies. This role offers hands‑on experience and mentorship to grow your expertise in delivering robust, cost‑effective products that meet customer expectations.
This opportunity is initially available as a five months fixed-term contract, with the potential to transition to a permanent arrangement.
Your responsibilities will be to:
Support the design, development, and modification of ITMS modules and related components in accordance with JEI standards and JEI change management processes, including ASPICE‑based system engineering activities
Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to ensure alignment across development activities
Contribute to technical solutions and assist in design reviews for assembly and test fixture concepts
Translate research and development inputs into technical solutions using CAD/CAE/CFD tools in line with internal processes and change management requirements
Prepare technical and project documentation according to JE procedures, under guidance from senior engineers
Collect, document, and analyze data obtained from prototype testing
Participate in customer meetings during development and product care phases
Apply quality system procedures and assist in quality issue resolution through root cause analysis and corrective actions
Support standardization activities by following defined engineering processes and best practices in new developments
Our requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Ideally 1+ year of relevant experience or entry‑level/internship exposure, preferably in the automotive field; fresh graduates are also welcome to apply
Basic understanding of design and engineering procedures and modern manufacturing technologies (plastic and metal processing, hydraulics)
Mandatory experience with modern 3D engineering tools, preferably Unigraphics NX
Good analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a structured and proactive working approach
Strong communication skills, motivation to learn, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently while being comfortable receiving guidance and feedback
Customer‑oriented mindset and willingness to develop customer relationship skills
Proficiency in French or German, with good knowledge of English
