THE ROLE:
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
Lead monthly and quarterly financial analysis and performance reporting across OPEX, CAPEX, and G&A
Support development of the annual budget, monthly forecast updates, and cash flow projections
Represent PETRONAS in LNG Canada joint venture forums and working groups
Review annual financial statements and disclosures, prepare technical accounting memos, and support quarterly impairment assessments
Manage internal and external reporting to shareholders and stakeholders, including ad hoc analyses and financial queries
Support project finance and treasury activities, including funding tracking, financial assurances (LCs/guarantees), hedging strategies, and FX management
Design, maintain, and reconcile SAP cost structures to support accurate joint venture and corporate reporting
Oversee operational finance processes, including invoicing, cost recoveries, payment processing, and corporate credit card administration
Support enterprise risk management, audits, and internal controls, including governance compliance and remediation tracking
WHAT YOU BRING:
Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA professional designation is preferred
5+ years of work experience in finance and accounting related work preferably in the oil and gas industry
Practical experience and understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with all levels in the organization
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
Flexibility to meet the demands of an international company
Proficiency with SAP, PowerBI, and Excel are considered assets
