The General Clerk III uses some subject-matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps varying in nature and sequence. The General Clerk III selects from alternative methods and refers problems not solvable by adapting or interpreting substantive guides, manuals, or procedures. Typical duties include: assisting in a variety of administrative matters; maintaining a wide variety of financial or other records (stored both manually and electronically); verifying statistical reports for accuracy and completeness; compiling information; and handling and adjusting complaints. The General Clerk III may also direct lower level clerks (when required).
Essential Responsibilities:
Process documents for issue, receipts, storage, shipping and turn-ins of ammunition
Complies with customer identification procedures
Assist in the daily operations of SAAS-MOD stock record account
Maintains office filing system, office records, publication forms
Complies and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies
Complies information for requested reports
Performs computer operations day-to-day on Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer
Participates in the Company Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) and QA Programs
Complies with all Company rules, policies and procedures
Complies with all safety, environmental & quality standards & applicable COPs & DOPs
Provides for the accountability and proper care of all GFE / CFE
Favorably interacts with internal / external customers
May be required to perform other duties as assigned
Performs other related duties, as required.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Three or more years’ experience in a clerical-related position.
Experience in a business environment and work related to the contract.
Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.
Must possess a current and valid state license.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to follow detailed operating procedures.
Must have basic computer skills.
Must have knowledge of ammunition regulations
Must be able to complete paperwork associated with ammunition
Preferred Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Experience working with the U.S. Army preferred.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. with or without accommodation.
Must utilize all proper lifting procedures and practices.
Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Must be able to work at heights.
Must be able to climb in and out of vehicles of various sizes and heights
Must be able to work under pressure and strenuous conditions.
Must be able to meet short suspense dates.
Must be able to conduct work in the out-of-doors area with potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions (i.e. extreme temperatures, high humidity, rain and blowing dust).
Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of stooping; climbing; standing; and sitting for long periods of uninterrupted time.
May require shift work.
May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty including nights, weekends, and holidays.
During the usual work period, the worker may be exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting and uncomfortable.
