TeleTrader is announcing the following vacancy within its Trading Backend team:
Scala Developer
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Scala-based systems for order generation, trading, simulation, and performance evaluation workflows
- Work on core trading and quantitative libraries, including domain models, numerical models
- Develop and maintain interfaces to external systems for data acquisition and order execution
- Use advanced Scala features in production code (type-level programming, macros)
- Apply strong mathematical, statistical, and algorithmic thinking to problems involving simulations, numerical accuracy, computational complexity, and financial data modeling
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent industry experience
- 2+ years of experience in Scala or other functional language
- Practical knowledge of JVM ecosystem, including common libraries
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
Nice to have:
- Theoretical/practical background for numerical computations
- Knowledge of financial industry, experience in financial system development and maintenance
- Experience in data acquisition and data quality assurance
